Ao Salad Pier
Ao Salad pier is the main ferry gateway to Koh Kood (Ko Kut), one of Thailand's most unspoilt islands, located in the Eastern Gulf of Thailand close to the Cambodian border. The pier sits on the north-west coast of the island, tucked inside the calm, sheltered bay of Ao Salad, and serves as the primary arrival and departure point for visitors travelling by high-speed ferry from the mainland.
As a working arrival pier rather than a developed transport hub, facilities are basic: there is a small covered waiting area, a drinks and snack stall, and toilets. There is no ATM at the pier and no formal luggage storage. There is a small cluster of restaurants and convenience shops near the pier.
At Ao Salad pier, you can find fast ferry connections to Laem Sok Pier in Trat Province, as well as combined bus-and-ferry services running all the way from Bangkok and Pattaya. The pier also links Koh Kood with neighbouring Koh Mak and Koh Chang via inter-island speedboat.
Ao Salad pier is located on the north-west coast of Koh Kood, Trat Province, in the Eastern Gulf of Thailand. The pier is approximately 20 minutes by taxi or songthaew from the island's main beach resorts on the south-west coast.
