Laem Tong Pier is on the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don, in Krabi province, Thailand. It serves the small group of resorts at Laem Tong Beach, including PP Erawan Palms Resort, OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort, Phi Phi Natural Resort and PP Holiday Resort. The pier handles speedboat and ferry services to and from Phuket, Krabi and Tonsai Pier on the southern side of Phi Phi Don.
Laem Tong Beach is accessible only by boat: there are no roads connecting it to the rest of Phi Phi Don. The pier operates mainly in the high season (roughly November to April), when there are enough passengers to justify sailings. In the low season, direct connections from Laem Tong are reduced or absent, and travellers may need to arrange a boat to Tonsai Pier first. All passengers are foot passengers: there are no vehicles at Laem Tong Beach.

Laem Tong Pier facilities
Laem Tong Pier has minimal facilities. Shade and seating are available at the pier for passengers waiting for departures. There is no food or drink service at the pier itself, so bring water if you are waiting for a boat. There are no ATMs at Laem Tong Beach: withdraw cash in Tonsai Village or on the mainland before arriving.
The nearby resorts have restaurants and bars available to guests.
Fishing is not permitted at the pier.
Getting to Laem Tong Pier
Laem Tong Beach and its pier can only be reached by boat. There is no road connection to Tonsai Village or to any other part of Phi Phi Don.
From Phuket (Rassada Pier): by speedboat, the crossing to Laem Tong takes about 1 hour 30 minutes to 1 hour 45 minutes. By ferry, the journey takes about 3 hours, with a stop at Tonsai Pier.
From Krabi (Klong Jilad Pier): by speedboat, the crossing to Laem Tong takes about 1 hour 20 minutes to 1 hour 30 minutes. By ferry, the journey takes about 3 hours to 3 hours 30 minutes, stopping at Tonsai Pier on the way.
From Tonsai Pier, Phi Phi Don: the fastest option if you are already on Phi Phi. Speedboats from Tonsai to Laem Tong take about 10 to 15 minutes.
From Ao Nang (Nopparat Thara Beach): by speedboat, about 1 hour 10 minutes, stopping at Tonsai Pier on the way.
From Railay: by speedboat, about 1 hour.
Arriving at the pier: speedboats typically drop passengers directly on the beach. Ferries do not dock at the beach: passengers are transferred ashore by longtail boat or floating walkway. Follow the instructions of the crew. Be ready to carry your luggage and to step into shallow water when boarding or disembarking.
From your resort: the pier is within walking distance of the main resorts at Laem Tong Beach. PP Erawan Palms Resort and OUTRIGGER Phi Phi Island Resort are about 2 minutes from the pier on foot; Phi Phi Natural Resort and PP Holiday Resort are about 5 minutes away.
