About Newhaven Port
Newhaven is a ferry port on the East Sussex coast of England, on the English Channel, about 20 minutes from Brighton and within reach of London. Its terminal handles crossings to Dieppe in Normandy, with 1 to 2 sailings a day on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. Every sailing runs straight across to Dieppe without calling elsewhere.
Drivers can take a car or motorhome across, and cyclists following the Avenue Verte London to Paris route can bring their bikes. Foot passengers can book too, with Newhaven Town station a short walk from the terminal. Cabins are optional for travellers who want to rest on the overnight sailings.
