Phuket to Phi Phi Islands Ferry Route Overview
Multiple operators run ferry services on the Phuket to Koh Phi Phi route. Andaman Wave Master operates the Royal Jet Cruiser, currently available to book on Viaferry.
The ferry departs from Rassada Pier in Phuket and calls first at Tonsai Pier, the island's main concrete jetty and primary gateway, which leads directly into the commercial centre of Tonsai Village. The ferry then continues to Laemtong Beach on the northern tip of Koh Phi Phi Don, where passengers are transferred ashore via longtail boats or floating walkways to the resorts in that area.
The total journey takes between one hour and one hour forty minutes depending on conditions and the number of stops.
Transfers to the Phuket Ferry Harbour
All Phuket to Koh Phi Phi ferries depart from Rassada Pier, located on the east coast of Phuket approximately five kilometres southeast of Phuket Town.
From popular beach areas such as Patong, Kata, and Karon, the pier can take 45 minutes or more to reach depending on traffic. Allow sufficient time before your scheduled departure, particularly if you have an early morning sailing.
